This piece of porcelain is considered to be an art deco less aggressive or political floral ornamental jar gifted to display peaceful bilateral relationship expectations by the high ranking diplomatic official to his counterpart visiting from Europe. The peony flowers blossoming amidst the lurking leaves in the iron rich deep dark blue cobalt still shows the painstaking task with a longer time to draw and paint before glazing.

The underglaze outcome after the firing is astonishingly fine on this Jar. The size and personality of the decoration, as aimed by the artists and kilns have been shown appropriately and it’s a statement of the production of the finest quality blue and white porcelains produced in the kilns of Jingdzhen of 3rd Qing dynasty Emperor Yongzhen, (b1678- d1735) AD.
