This blue & hand underglaze porcelain is considered to be an art deco, highest quality production of the Edo period porcelain. This EDO period (1680-1700) Kutani has deep blue cobalt under glazed as an example of the highest quality Japanese porcelains produced in the early seventeenth-eighteenth century Japan. Extremely rare and sought after. Ideal for collectors or Museums around the world.

Maeda Toshiharu, of Daishoji Clan (1655-1700), was said to be the instrumental of the Kutani porcelains that could compete with the Chinese porcelain production at the time.
