This bowls art works depict the ‘Shengrong’ style, a formal portrait style, on ‘Piao’ and ‘Chien’ features known also as GUANGU, conveying birthday or congratulatory wishes officially offered to the Emperor or Empress by high powered or favoured Imperial officials. Gilded in gold on the rim in the front rim was perhaps to show the extravaganzas of all available colour applied in the porcelain products in order to show the generosity and ‘Good Omen’ for their much loved Emperor. It is painted, designed, prepared with the thick yellow, red, green and back enamels as well as cobalt blue under and over glaze showing the exceptional porcelain features gilded with lavish gold accompanied by black enamel drawings of the Emperor’s portrait, showing the Emperor’s age of 50 or above. This bowl is believed to have been offered at the hands of Emperor in person as the special birthday ceremony went on in an auspicious hall or courtyard of the Imperial palace.
Patterns:
All Hand painted. At the back of the porcelain’s whiter part, the Emperor’s approval with his own personal seal ‘Yuan-Chin-Yun’ has been granted within which there’s contemporary ‘Quing Dynasty’ mark.

Condition:
Pristine & Excellent. Well preserved, demonstrating the excellent quality health, whilst aged marks or wears visible on back part of the bowl. Extremely rare, and most desirable by the museum or collector.
