These particular pieces of porcelain are considered to be an art-deco HAWTHORN FLORAL mini vases in four distinct shapes, are made for the purpose of ‘Display’ for ‘Example’ sets. The size and styles of the vases display their personalities distinctly different but varied with each other. Therefore, they were produced in very few in quantities. Or could be only one in its kind so the future artists could look them upon as the masterpiece example of the popular ‘Hawthorn-Prunus-Ice-Crack-Design’.

The fineness of the virtue and style of drawing and the highest quality blue cobalt underglaze prunus design shown in these ‘demo vases’ ‘highlight the key characteristic of the finest quality blue and white ‘Hawthorn Pattern’ produced in the reign of Kangxi Emperor, (4 May 1654 – 20 December 1722), of the Qing Dynasty.
