Could you see a large landed butterly covering the lid?
This ornamental jar in family verte style features the fine quality craftsmanship of porcelain painting by blue & white whilst introducing the pink and light green colour in underglaze. The mark at the bottom shows that the jar was produced for the European/English market as an export item of the late Qing dynasty China. Due to it's English MADE IN CHINA mark, it maybe produced during the period of early Republican period in China too. But the highest quality features depicted on the jar shows the rarity and importance as a collector's piece.
Patterns:
Large Butterfly Lid on bluish, greenish and pink spots. Hand drawn.
