This gold fish blue and white porcelain has a distinct feature of quality hand drawing/painting in cobalt blue in underglaze. The feisty GOLD FISH looks to be swimming in the fresh water actively looking for food. Although in single colour paint, the dynamism of fish is three-dimensional in its posture and is an exceptional quality porcelain painting on cobalt of Ming period China, with a typical foot prints of a wall of gates in ornate standing. The jar resembles the characteristics of the Western Salt & Paper jar, but it is not so in case of this porcelain jar. Suitable for museum collection or private collector who would like to preserve the rare piece of blue & white porcelain in cobalt blue underglaze.
